Skill Practice
2v1. Blue passes the ball to one of the reds. Blue becomes the defender and 2 reds attack a goal. They must make a decision to run the ball towards the goal themselves or pass to their team mate to then drive forward to goal. This allows the players to use their new skills to drive towards a goal similar to in a game. Coaching Focuses

Progression of Technical Practice
Players 1&2 and 3&4 still work together. Player 1 passes to player 2. Players1 becomes the defender and player 2 the attacker. Player 2 must run the ball over one of the blue lines outlined in the session picture. Coaching Focuses

Initial Set up
2 Lines. Use three different colours cones (If possible)
10 Yards from start to Finish in a triangle formation.
2 yards between end cones.

Coach shouts a colour and players race to the cone. Simple straight line running over short distance. Have fun with this.
Examples of changes

Coach shouts yellow must run to red. Players start facing away from cones. Players start laying on stomach. Players start laying on back.

Players must now run to the furtherst cone before coming back to the closest cone before sprinting through the finish.
Players must run backwards from the furtherst to the closest cone to encourage different movement types. Again repeat the competition, starting positions and thought provoking changes.

Add 3 additional cones in line with the finish. Players must run around the outside of the colour that is shouted. This now gets change of direction involved.
Repeat what you done with the first session in terms of competition, changing starting position and get players thinking.

Can be done with or without a ball. Adding a ball will take away how much they focus on speed and agility but helps keep it football relevant. Make sure to give plenty water breaks between sessions so players can give max effort in drills. This can be even longer than you normally would.

Initial Set up
One age-appropriate goal. One cone is central to the goal. 15 yards out from the goal.

Blue player passes the ball to the striker.
Striker must look to shoot with no more than 2 (3 if struggling) touches. Red player becomes Blue. Blue player collects the ball then joins shooter line. Coaching focuses

Drop one more cone to the left of the center. Blue now plays to any of the 3 cones and becomes a defender to create a 3v1. The player who shoots becomes the defender.
Coaching Focuses.

1. Ensure the player keeps the same focus under pressure.

Drop one cone to the right of the striker line.
Blue now passes to the right-hand cone.
Players touch the ball straight back from where it came and crosses it to a striker who has run to the middle of the goal. Again rotate after shot. Coaching Focuses

Initial setup.
5 x Cones 5 yards apart in a rough circle.
Every 5 cones per 4 participants. Set as many as required.
(Can also work for a 3 if required)

Players pass the ball among themselves. After every pass they must run to the empty cone to encourage pass and move.
Coaching focuses

1. Using inside of foot.
2. Head up to find a pass and move to space. 3. Correct weight of pass.

Drop two goals whilst players have break and set out a 20x10 area.
Players now play 2v2 competition. First goal wins. Winner stays on.
Coaching Focuses

1. 2v2 means no one is free so need to move 2. passing into space rather than to person 3. Pass and move as quickly as they can

Add a player to the center of the circle. This player now attempts to win the ball . Players still need to move to the empty cone one make a pass.
Once the defender wins the ball he switches with whoever gave the ball away. Coaching focuses
